Come & play with the Tinderbox Orchestra and learn about improvisation with Mike Kearney
For anyone aged 14- 25 | All singers and instruments welcome | Learn about improvisation | Play some Tinderbox Tunes – Easy and hard parts available! The session will feature an ‘Improvisation’ workshop with musician, composer, and conductor Mike Kearney.
Time: 1:30pm- 4:30pm
Date: Sunday 23rd April
Where: The Jazz Bar, 1a Chambers Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1HR
Cost: Pay what you can (suggested donation £5).

Tinderbox Sessions are a series of Open rehearsals and workshops with the Tinderbox Orchestra and guest workshop facilitators. Aiming to run every month or so, the workshops will be open for anyone aged 14- 25 get involved. Out with these Open Sessions, we also run Orchestra Courses which you can find out more about here.
Tinderbox Orchestra is a mesmerising and unforgettable live show featuring some of Scotland’s most talented young musicians across genres and an international cast of professional collaborators. Bringing together rappers & singers with soaring strings, heavy brass, woodwind and a thundering back-line, they have transformed preconceptions of what an orchestra can be.
