About Tinderbox Collective:

From grass-roots youth work to award-winning music productions, Tinderbox is a vibrant and eclectic community of young musicians and artists in Scotland. They aim to ignite a spark in people, one which fills them with confidence, imagination and a sense of possibility, and enables people to achieve things they never thought possible.

At the heart of the collective is the Tinderbox Orchestra – a 20 piece band of rappers, singers, orchestral instruments and full amplified backline. Tinderbox Orchestra transform preconceptions of what an orchestra can be. The band have recently headlined Fuse International Festival in London and completed a 5 star, sold-out run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.

Their live show has hit the festival circuit, with appearances at festivals across the UK including Latitude, Hidden Door, Solas and Kelburn Garden Party, and they have also performed at major cultural venues and festivals including Celtic Connections, Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, MacArts, Queens Hall and Leith Theatre.

In 2022, they released their record “The Blood, The Weight, The Weary” with Scottish Album of the Year winner Kathryn Joseph and their debut album “Tinderbox” (2017) received widespread four-star reviews, and spot plays on BBC Radio 6 Music (Tom Robinson) and on BBC Radio Scotland (Vic Galloway, Janice Forsyth). They have collaborated for special live shows with acclaimed artists such as Kathryn Joseph, Kris Drever, Shooglenifty and My Brightest Diamond.

About IAMLOUD Productions:

Founded in 2014, I Am Loud Productions started as monthly poetry night, Loud Poets.

With the simple goal of presenting spoken word poetry in a creative, engaging and entertaining way, the team booked the best talent they could find and pushed the boundaries of what poetry could be.

From their monthly shows Loud Poets went on to produce multiple live shows with the team performing across the UK and around the world at the Edinburgh, Brighton and Prague Fringe festivals, Edinburgh’s Hidden Door Festival and London’s VAULT Festival.

The Loud Poets performed at countless venues and events across the UK and worked with a range of artists to produce the high-quality poetry shows and videos they are known for. Their digital and live back catalogue includes some of the biggest names in spoken word – Shane Koyczan, Harry Baker, Hannah Lavery, Rick Dove and Joelle Taylor, to name a few.

After rebranding as I Am Loud Productions in 2019, the company has gone on to produce a range of poetry projects including educational series Return to Form, in-house podcast The Loudcast, their annual National Poetry Writing Month series, and their latest project, the Loud Poet’s 2022 Live Season.
