Fresh from their spellbinding album launch at the Hidden Door festival, Scotland’s young
orchestral pioneers are ready to tour and available now for bookings in 2017/18!

After recently playing the likes of the BBC Music Introducing stage at Latitude
Festival, and following a year of spectacular musical collaboration with musicians such as
Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award winner Kathryn Joseph and Chinese singer
and musician Song Yuzhe (of alternative folk-rock band Dawanggang (German
Critics Award for Best Album of the Year)), the Tinderbox Orchestra are taking their
debut album out on the road.

The release of ‘Tinderbox’ sees this precocious Edinburgh collective take another step out
from the underground and onto the national stage. Fiercely independent, they combine core
values of inclusivity and togetherness with an ambition to hit the highest levels of creativity
and originality. Driven by an unshakeable passion to let their confidence and brilliance shine,
they have worked with thousands of young people across the country. Since their inception
in 2010 they have gathered an international cast of professional collaborators, produced a
multitude of award-winning productions and transformed preconceptions of what an
orchestra looks and sounds like.
