We work closely with a range of other youth clubs, community groups and partner organisations to help bring some music into their work, by delivering workshops, playing at community events and putting together longer-term creative projects.
We are currently working with the following community groups and organisations:
North Edinburgh Arts: Arts Centre in Muirhouse, Edinburgh. Tinderbox are based at North Edinburgh Arts and run our weekly youth music clubs and other workshops in the venue.
Rock Trust: Providing support and accommodation for young people struggling with homelessness. We have been running a regular music club at the Rock Trust for the past 6 years.
Amazing Harmonies: All ages singing and community group in Muirhouse, Edinburgh. We help to provide weekly group music lessons for children and young people.
Edinburgh Multicultural Family Base: Supporting children and families, especially people who have recently moved to Edinburgh. We play a regular family ceilidh and run music and songwriting workshops with children and young people.
Action For Children: UK children’s charity committed to helping vulnerable children and young people, and their families. We ran a 10-week song-writing and music production project focusing on heritage and identity with a group of teenage boys.
Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival: A community music Hub in Gorgie/Dalry. Tinderbox were involved in helping to set up this programme up and offering advice where needed.
