Tinderbox Orchestra Courses

Join the Tinderbox Orchestra for our Spring course building up to a huge album launch concert at the Hidden Door Festival 2017! Courses for all levels of experience, running from March – June 2017.  For more info and to book a place CLICK HERE.


Tinderbox Album Launch

Our debut album (featuring over 150 young people and original music from 6 years of Tinderbox courses), will be launched with a 50 piece orchestra & choir at the Hidden Door festival on Sunday 4th June at the Old Leith Theatre, Edinburgh!

With special guests Kathryn Joseph, DaWangGang, and The Black Diamond Express.

Please note:
Audience members aged between 14 and 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult and are allowed  access on site until 23.30 (this permission is only granted for Sunday 4 June 2017)
No entry for audience members under the age of 14 after 18.00
Performers at the Festival under 18 are permitted untill 23.30

The Big Jam

We’re coming to Dumfries! Join us on the Big Jam project from 22nd April in collaboration with the Stove Network, Dumfries Music Conference and Dumfries & Galloway Music Festival, where we’ll be working with local bands and creating original music to perform as part of our gig on the 27th May.

Tinderbox Hubs

Our next term will run from 31st Jan – 28th March with 2 weekly music hubs, free to attend and open to children and young people aged 10-18, complete beginners to experienced young musicians. The hubs are on Tuesdays at North Edinburgh Arts & Thursdays at Craigroyston Community High School. Learn an instrument, play in a band, write songs, rapping,  sound-engineering and more! Click here for more info:
