Milton Road Rehearsal Sessions

It’s been one whole year of Milton Road! 

 

A collaborative, open rehearsal room invitation to the young bands of Edinburgh, Milton Road has offered free 1:1 instrumental tuition, mentoring, group-songwriting, and performance opportunities all year round. 

 

In collaboration with Edinburgh College and Granton Youth Mixtape, the rehearsal nights give young bands free reign to rehearse for up to 3 hours independently, with the support of a tutor, and encourage collaborations between young musicians which have seen the formation of new bands and co-writes. 

 

Every term of Milton Road has a focus towards our young bands night: NxNW, as well as its educational-partner: Support Your Scene, a youth-led initiative centering the voices of young musicians in Edinburgh to help craft a scene that they want, and that works for them. 

 

After successive sell-out events, NxNW and Support Your Scene, are going from strength to strength. A massive thank you to 40+ young people who have made the Milton Road sessions such a success this year!
