North By North West | 15/12/24

North By North West is a youth band night that Tinderbox run collaboratively with other youth music organisations across Edinburgh, including Granton Youth’s Mixtape group. Other groups who have been involved are Edinburgh Schools Rock Ensemble, Brass Blast, Intercultural Youth Scotland, Totally Sound and Dumfries Music Collective.

The aim is to bring together young people from across these groups who are ready to perform to a public audience. Young people get to meet each other and network across the city and the country and inspire each other to work towards public performance in professional gigging venues.

What a phenomenal night we had at the Mash House on 15th December! All of the acts in the lineup were fantastic, including: Ace And All The Other Animals, Edinburgh Schools Rock Ensemble, Jacob Creighton, Parma Violence and Joseph Cursare. We also had a really well attended and enthusiastic open mic session in the bar area.
