Castlebrae Christmas Concert

Our lunchtime Jammin’ Band sessions and reeds group at Castlebrae high school have been absolutely brilliant this year. Every week pupils have been joining to develop their skills on their instruments in informal and fun sessions.

It was really impressive to see their work all come together at the Castlebrae High School Christmas Concert. There were so many players that they had to take it in turns to play in the band because there wasn’t enough space for everyone to play at once!

The reeds group had us leading a Christmas sing-song for friends and family in the lunch hall at the interval of the show which got everyone totally into the Christmas spirit.

It has been fantastic to see some of the players also move on to other opportunities including joining our Support Your Scene events, Thursday band sessions at Milton Road and NXNW band nights.
